Man charged in Hunting Park homicide

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- A man has been charged for a killing last week in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

Gary Saunders, 28, from the 1500 block of W. Cayuga Street, has been charged with murder and related offenses.

Police did not disclose a possible motive for the killing.

It happened after 11:00 p.m. Thursday on the 700 block of West Annsbury Street.

Michael Thompson was shot and wounded while standing outside of his home.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
