WISSINOMING (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a man was critically injured Wednesday by an Amtrak train.
It happened shortly after 2 a.m. near the Wissinoming Train Station on Keystone Street in city's Wissinoming section.
The 43-old-man was hit by an extended piece of metal as he was walking alongside the tracks.
He was knocked to the ground and dragged a short distance.
Police rushed the man to Hahnemann University Hospital for serious injuries to his head and arm.
