Man injured in Montco shooting

Police are searching for the suspect who shot a 26-year-old man in Springfield Township, Montgomery County.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Garth Road in Oreland, Pennsylvania.

Early reports say the man answered a knock at the door of a residence. He opened the door and shots rang out.

The victim was shot twice in the stomach and leg.

He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital. So far, there is no word on his condition.

Authorities say the suspect fled the scene on Garth Road towards Bruce Road.

The victim is not cooperating with police. The investigation is ongoing.
