Man killed in house fire in Manayunk

MANAYUNK (WPVI) -- One person was killed in a house fire in the city's Manayunk section.

The fire started around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 300 block of Krams Avenue.

Crews say after they put out the flames, they found the body of a man in his 50s in the basement. He was pronounced dead around 2:40 p.m.

The victim has not been identified.

Police say smoking may be the cause of the fire.
