Man killed in North Philly shooting was recent college grad

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified the victim of a shooting in North Philadelphia as a recent college graduate.

Leonard Boyer III, who also has a young daughter, was shot to death on Saturday night.

He was found lying on the sidewalk in the 600 block of North 12th Street.

Investigators have no idea why he was targeted.

"He had just parked his vehicle and was walking to his mother's house when two unidentified males walked up to him and executed him, shooting him several times," said Capt. James Clark.

Police are reportedly looking for a black vehicle with New Jersey tags with two men inside, last seen heading eastbound on Wallace Street.
