Man killed in West Philadelphia stabbing ID'd

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified the man who was stabbed to death Wednesday night in West Philadelphia.

They say 36-year-old Edward Atkinson of Havertown, Pennsylvania died from his injuries.

The Action Cam was along the 300 block of North 63rd Street on Wednesday night.

Around 8:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing in the rear of a Walgreen's store.

Upon arrival, police said Atkinson was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to the lower left chest and abdomen.

The victim was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

So far, no arrests or motive.
