Man rescued after falling into hole in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was rescued after falling into an uncovered hole in West Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 6100 block of Vine Street.

The hole was part of street construction near the sidewalk, police say.

The man was rushed to the hospital with a back injury.

He is in stable condition.
