SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man on a bike allegedly shot and killed a 21-year-old man in South Philadelphia.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South 24th and Montrose Streets.
Officers found Karon A. Payne Smith lying in the street with several gunshot wounds.
The victim was rushed to the Presbyterian Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Police found ten spent shell casings at the scene.
Four cars were also riddled with bullet holes.
Witnesses told police they saw the shooter take off from the scene on a bike.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting stemmed from an argument. However, an arrest has yet to be made.
