Man shot in the head in Cobbs Creek

COBBS CREEK (WPVI) -- A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the head and chest in Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek section.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday inside a house on the 800 block of South Cecil Street.

The victim was taken in a personal car to Mercy Hospital and then transferred to Penn Presbyterian.

Police told Action News that at least one shell casing was found inside the house, leading them to think he was shot in his own home.

The incident is under investigation.
