Man's body found in Christiana River in Delaware

NEWPORT, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are investigating a gruesome find in Newport.

Someone found a man's body floating in the Christiana River, near the public boat ramp on Cooper Drive.

The 911 call came in before 8 a.m. Saturday.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and recovered the body.

It has been turned over to the state's Division of Forensic Sciences where investigators will work to determine who the man was and how he died.
