Police ID 2 injured in Berks County plane crash

AMITY TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the two people who were hospitalized after a small plane crash in Berks County.



The incident was reported around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Amity Park Road in Amity Township.



Police say 66-year-old John Bertagna of Birdsboro, Pa. and 67-year-old Steven Bosshard of Manasquan, N.J. were taken to Reading Hospital after a small plane went down in a field.



Bertagna is listed in critical condition. Bosshard is listed in fair condition.



The incident is under investigation.



The FAA plans to visit the crash site on Thursday.
