Philadelphia police investigate report of sex assault at Made in America

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the report of a sexual assault at the Made in the America festival on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Officers from the 18th district responded to the emergency room at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The victim told police she was attending the concert earlier that night.

Around 9 p.m., she was in front of the stage watching a performance, when the she told police an unknown man approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

The victim said she screamed and the man fled.

The Special Victims Unit is conducting the investigation.
