Man in custody after barricade situation in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- It was a tense morning for people living in one Port Richmond neighborhood.

A man apparently barricaded himself inside a home on the 3000 block of Agate Street.

Philadelphia police called in the SWAT team to handle the situation.

Because the man was reportedly under the influence of some type of drug, he was hospitalized for treatment and evaluation once the standoff ended.

No injuries were reported.
