PRINCETON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Four people were injured in a serious crash involving a mini school bus and a car in Princeton, New Jersey.
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday on the 600 block Lawrenceville Road (Route 206).
Authorities tell us a northbound BMW sedan overcompensated on a curve in the road, crossing into the path of the southbound school bus.
The BMW struck the front left bumper of the bus. The impact flipped the bus onto its right side, and left both vehicles with severe front end damage.
Authorities say the bus driver, 44-year-old Veronica McKinney, and the two bus passengers, a 16-year-old student and a teacher's aid, 71-year-old Geneva Smith, were alert and conscious upon arrival of emergency personnel. They were all transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the BMW, 26-year-old Justin Thomas, walked away from the wreck. he too was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The teenager was being driven from the Rock Brook School in Skillman to a home in Ewing.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances which led to the crash. At this point no charges have been filed.
