Port Richmond scrap yard fire under control

PORT RICHMOND -- A scrap yard fire that filled the skies with smoke over Port Richmond is now under control.

Firefighters were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. Monday to the 2100 block of East Somerset Street.

A sign on the business says K&A Auto Salvage.

There was no immediate word as to what sparked the fire.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
