Traffic Alert: Street closures for Broad Street Run

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The City of Philadelphia has announced road closures for the 2017 Blue Cross Broad Street Run on Sunday.

- Broad Street from Olney to Windrim Avenue was shut down 4 a.m.

- Broad Street from Windrim Ave. south to Erie was closed at 7 a.m.

- The remainder of the route was closed at 7:30 a.m. See a map of the entire course here at BroadStreetRun.com

-The run begins at 8:00 a.m.

City officials say the route will reopen as soon as street sweepers move through.

They anticipate the entire course will be open again by 11:30 a.m., with the exception of some areas in the Navy Yard.

Police will be assigned to help guide drivers to the detours around the run route.

However, officials say drivers should expect delays in the area of the run.
