Underground fire damages transformer in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- PECO crews were called to the scene of an underground fire in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

The fire damaged a transformer around 2 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Frankford and Allegheny avenues.

Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control within minutes.

So far, no reports of any injuries.

Only one business was affected by the fire.
