Victim shot 12 times outside North Philadelphia bar, police say

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say someone shot a man 12 times outside a North Philadelphia bar.

The shots were fired at 2 a.m. Saturday outside the J and S Tavern in the 2400 block of Germantown Avenue.

The 23-year-old victim was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with stable vital signs.

There was no immediate word on his condition.

Detectives were hoping the bar's customers would be able help them determine who shot the man and why.
