WARNING: Dash-cam video of police shooting of Laquan McDonald

CHICAGO -- GRAPHIC VIDEO: This video shows Laquan McDonald, 17, being shot by a Chicago police officer in October 2014. Viewer discretion is advised.

The video was released by Chicago police Tuesday after Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke appeared in court on murder charges.

A judge ordered the video be released after a freelance journalist requested it under the Freedom of Information Act. Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder on November 24, 2015.
