Wife killed in head-on crash while pursuing her husband in another vehicle, family says

HOUSTON, Tx. (WPVI) -- A woman is dead in a tragic car accident in Texas after she struck another vehicle head-on - and she was apparently chasing her own husband at the time.

The accident happened late Thursday afternoon in the 13000 block of Wallisville Road in northeast Houston.

Family members at the scene of the accident tell our sister station KTRK-TV that a wife was pursuing her husband, who was in another vehicle with a female companion.

The woman apparently lost control of her car and went into a spin, striking another vehicle head-on.

The wife died at the scene, and a man in the vehicle that was struck was taken by Life Flight to an area hospital, suffering from various injuries.

The woman's husband and the woman with him were unhurt.
