Woman dead after Bensalem shooting

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead Thursday morning in Bensalem, Bucks County.

The shooting happened shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of Whittier Avenue.

According to police, the victim is 23-years-old.

The call to police came in as self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, police are continuing to investigate.

A male, who also resides at that location, is said to be cooperating with investigators.
