Woman robbed while sitting inside vehicle in Fishtown

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a woman while she was sitting in her car in the city's Fishtown section.

It happened on January 19 around 5 p.m.

Police say a 35 year-old woman was sitting in her vehicle on the 1300 block of East Montgomery Avenue when she was approached by the suspect.

He warned her not to move and then reached into her vehicle, taking her purse and cell phone before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, 5'10" tall and thin build. He was wearing a black jacket with an Adidas symbol and blue jeans.
