WWII veteran reunited with Holocaust survivor he set free

It's a most powerful and emotional reunion caught on video, and that video is grabbing hearts all over social media.

A World War II veteran reunited with the Holocaust survivor he set free seven decades ago.

Back in 1945, now 94-year-old Sid Shafner helped liberate some 30,000 prisoners from a concentration camp in southern Germany.

One of those prisoners was 19-year-old Marcel Levy, now 90 years old.

This week they met once again at an Israeli military base, embracing with hugs, kisses and tears.

Levy told Shafner: "Everything I have today, all of my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, is due to you, Sid."

The reunion was sponsored by a group called Friends of the IDF, who says this the first time they have reunited survivors and liberators.

There wasn't a dry eye there, or at home watching this now viral video.
