It's freebie Friday and we have good news and bad news.

On Saturday, August 1st, Verizon TCC stores are giving away free backpacks, packed with school supplies from 12 -3 pm.

There is no purchase necessary, but you must have a child with you.

A&W restaurants are giving out free root beer floats in honor of National Root Beer Float Day.

That's on Thursday, August 6th from 2 pm to closing.

FREE TREATS FROM 7-ELEVEN

7-Eleven is offering freebies every weekend in August to anyone who downloads the free app.

This weekend they're offering a free medium Fanta Slurpee drink.

Just sign in or create an account, then head to the "Scan and Save" section of the app.

That's where you'll find offers for treats, like candy bars and gum, posted every Saturday and Sunday after noon.

Just make sure you don't hit "Redeem Offer" until you're ready, because it's only good for 15 minutes after you do.

FREE SHAKESPEAREAN PLAY

If you're interested in checking out a play for free, head to West Philadelphia.

Shakespeare in Clark Park is putting on "The Winter's Tale" every night until Sunday, August 2nd.
