Smoke and flames damage stores in Camden County

LINDENWOLD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A fire damaged several stores in a shopping strip mall in Lindenwold, New Jersey late Thursday night.

The blaze broke out around 11:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Blackwood Clementon Road.

Firefighters arrived to smoke and flames showing from the center stores.

The sprinkler systems turned on and the fire was placed under control with in a half hour.

Investigators are still trying to figure out how the fire started, but believe the blaze was centered near a nail salon.

There were no reports of injuries.
