100-year-old veteran honored on Battleship New Jersey

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Thursday was a very special day for one local veteran aboard the Battleship New Jersey.

100-year-old Albert Gannotta of Bridesburg was presented with a citation for meritorious service by the American Legion.

Gannotta was honored for his 63 years as an outstanding member of the post.

He was also given the honor of firing one of the big guns that can be found on the deck of that storied ship.
