South Jersey man has lost wallet returned 60 years later

WESTMONT, N.J. (WPVI) -- It took 60 years but a South Jersey man finally has his wallet back.

The Action Cam was there when Dennis Helmer of Westmont, New Jersey had his property returned to him.

Helmer says the wallet was stolen when his house was burglarized back in 1957.

Stacie and Donald Williams of Bellmawr found the wallet while tearing down a wall in their house.

Helmer says it took a minute for the news to sink in.

He says he knew it was real when the Williams started describing the pictures and the selective service card in the wallet.
