PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Flyers and right wing Jakub Voracek have agreed to a multiyear contract extension.
The deal is for eight years and $66 million total with an average of $8.25 million per year a source told ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.
Voracek, 25, had 22 goals and career highs of 59 assists and 81 points last season.
A native of the Czech Republic, Voracek (6-foot-2, 214 pounds) joined Philadelphia in June 2011 in a trade that sent Jeff Carter to Columbus. Voracek has 124 goals and 248 assists in 531 career games in seven seasons with Columbus and Philadelphia. He has four goals and 11 assists in 22 playoff games.
