Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick is now expected to miss about three months after undergoing a nonsurgical procedure to improve a groin injury he suffered in the season opener.
Kings general manager Dean Lombardi listed the timeline for Quick after the procedure was performed Tuesday, according to the team.
Quick was injured in the first period Oct. 12 and placed on injured reserve Oct. 13.
The Kings are 0-3-0 to start the season, and backup goalie Jeff Zatkoff has a 4.37 goals-against average. Zatkoff was removed from Tuesday's loss to the Minnesota Wild after allowing five goals and replaced by Peter Budaj.
