Mark Sanchez gets the start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles' Thanksgiving game in Detroit.

Regular starter Sam Bradford passed the concussion protocol this week but is still bothered by a sprained joint in his left (non-throwing) shoulder. He is inactive Thursday.

Sanchez started Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, a 45-17 loss for the Eagles (4-6) in which he threw three interceptions. He was 26-for-41 for 261 yards and two touchdowns.

Bradford had "some memory loss" after sustaining a concussion earlier this month and said Tuesday that the separated shoulder could keep him from playing Thursday against the Lions.

Regarding his head injury, Bradford said, "the symptoms I've had were similar to the ones I've had in the past, and I was able to recover from those."
