PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia 76ers have a new, updated look.
The team unveiled a series of logos Tuesday morning, including a redesigned primary insignia with a modern take on the Sixers' classic look.
The new primary logo features a thicker, patriotic blue border with the word "Philadelphia" written in the heading. The basketball inside the logo has also been rotated.
The 76ers continue to use a ring of 13 stars in its primary and secondary logos, to represent the 13 original colonies. The new logo set is effective immediately.
The team will round out its new look with new uniforms, which will debut at an event at the Wells Fargo Center in June.
