The Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns have completed a three-team trade that sends Brandon Knight and Kendall Marshall to Phoenix, Michael Carter-Williams, Miles Plumlee and Tyler Ennis to Milwaukee, and a draft pick to Philadelphia, the teams announced.

Carter-Williams, the reigning rookie of the year, has struggled from long range this season. He has the second-worst 3-point percentage among those who have taken at least 100 3s (25.6 percent) and the third-lowest effective field goal percentage of anyone taking at least 10 shots per game.

"We're thrilled to add three talented young players in Michael, Tyler and Miles to our team," Bucks general manager John Hammond said in a statement. "[Coach Jason Kidd] and his staff have an excellent track record of developing young talent, and we think this trade will accelerate our team's growth as we continue to build toward the future and our goal to put a championship-caliber team on the floor."

Carter-Williams took to Twitter on Thursday to thank Philadelphia for his time with the Sixers.

Milwaukee also requested waivers for veteran forward Kenyon Martin.

"We thank Kenyon for his contributions on the court and in the locker room," Hammond said. "He's a real professional and we wish him well."

In Knight, the Suns are getting an upgrade over Goran Dragic -- whom Phoenix dealt to the Heat on Thursday -- by most measures. Knight is averaging more points and assists per game this season, with a higher player efficiency rating and more win shares than Dragic.

Marshall, who is out for the year with a knee injury, will be waived, the Suns said.

Phoenix sends the Los Angeles Lakers' protected 2015 first-round pick to Philadelphia.

The players dealt were among 39 to change hands Thursday, a day that marked the busiest NBA trade deadline day in 25 years.
