It's a touchy debate amongst parents and even pediatricians over whether to let toddlers play with touch screen technology.
But in Taiwan, if your child is under 2 years-old, time on a tablet or smartphone is actually illegal.
Lawmakers have now expanded existing legislation to say that children under 18 are subject to restricted use.
In Taiwan, they equate time spent in front of a touch screen to other vices such as smoking, drinking and drugs.
If they are found in violation, parents can face a fine of up to $1,600.
