Tractor-trailer crash shuts down I-78 in Berks County

LENHARTSVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle has shut down part of I-78 in Berks County.

It happened before 6:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes 4 miles past Exit 35 in Lenhartsville.

Police tell Action News the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control and went off the highway and into some trees.

Another vehicle was involved in the crash as well.

There was no immediate word on the number or extent of any injuries.

All eastbound lanes of I-78 were shut down at Exit 35, where traffic was being detoured off the highway.
