Crash shuts down section of Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A serious crash shut down a section of Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 12000 block of the boulevard.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed medics treating a person lying on the road next to a black sedan that appeared to have sustained significant damage.

All southbound lanes of the outer boulevard were closed at the scene.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the victim's injuries.
