Motorcyclist killed in crash on Blue Route identified

NETHER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on the Blue Route (I-476) early Monday.

It happened at 2:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the Baltimore Pike exit in Nether Providence Township.

Police say 24-year-old Rasheed Spencer of Philadelphia lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

He died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

I-476 South was shut down between Baltimore Pike and McDade Boulevard for more than three hours.
