SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A taxi fire forced the closure of the Platt Bridge in Southwest Philadelphia early Monday morning.
Philadelphia Police say the taxi caught fire in the middle of the bridge at 12:45 a.m.
Firefighters put out the flames and worked to control a fuel spill from the incident.
All lanes of the bridge reopened at 2:35 a.m.
The closure caused backups, and temporarily stranded some people who had already made their approach onto the bridge.
There were no injuries reported.
