Tractor-trailer catches fire on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia

HOLMESBURG (WPVI) -- A tractor trailer caught fire on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood.

It happened after 9:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Academy Road.

Chopper 6 HD was over the fiery scene before firefighters arrived.

Flames were shooting from the area between the big rig's cab and trailer.

There were no reports of injuries.

One northbound lane was blocked as firefighters doused the flames and crews worked to remove the disabled truck.
