Tractor-trailers collide on NJ Turnpike

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A crash involving two tractor trailers slowed traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike.

It happened before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday on off-ramp from northbound lanes approaching the Woodrow Wilson rest stop.

Reports from the scene reported heavy damage to one of the big rigs.

Chopper 6 HD was overhead as tow trucks removed the wreckage.

There was no immediate word what led to the collision, or on injuries, if any.

Traffic was backed up approaching the scene immediately after the collision.
