PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Car-sharing services will make it easier to get out and vote on Tuesday.

The super PAC My Ride to Vote has teamed up with Uber and Lyft to offer free rides in Pennsylvania to help get voters to their polling places.

This is something that could be especially helpful if the SEPTA strike continues.

Pennsylvania voters can get a free ride from Uber and Lyft Tuesday by using the promo code "VOTEPA."

"With this campaign, we aim to help underrepresented voters exercise their rights as citizens," said Anna Soellner, co-founder of My Ride to Vote said in a statement. "For people who are under immense family, work or financial pressure, having a convenient ride to the polls can mean the difference between voting and staying at home. Our mission is to assist those in greatest need to exercise their sacred, civic duty."

Uber was already offering their own discount for new users - $20 off their first ride with the promotional code "VOTETODAY" on Tuesday.

Now, all users (new or old) can ride for free.

Uber is also partnering with Google to launch a special in-app feature on Nov. 8 that will help riders locate polling locations and request a ride with just a push of a button.

On working with My Ride to Vote, Lyft says the company "aims to make it easier for people to get around their cities and we are always happy to see how others use the platform to help connect their communities."

Lyft is also offering a 45 percent discount on one ride between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. in Philadelphia "to commemorate the fact that the nation will be electing our 45th President."

Users can access the promotion through Lyft's Deal of the Week email they receive on Sunday night.

"Finding affordable, convenient transportation options has traditionally been an obstacle to voting. That's why Lyft wants to help make it easier for Philadelphia passengers to get around on Election Day," Lyft said in a statement to Action News.

Like Uber, Lyft had their own discount for Election Day for new users.

New Lyft riders can use the code NOVEMBER8TH to receive $5 off their first 10 rides.

Zipcar's Drive the Vote promotion has made select cars free on Election Day between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The discount is only available on reservations booked after Nov. 3 at 9 a.m.

This deal is only available on these select Zipcar models:
