Crime Fighters: $20,000 reward offered in shooting death of Terrell Davis
KENSINGTON -- Natrina Overton says she's thankful for her son Terrell Davis' short music career.
"Good thing he was rapping because that's the only way I can hear my son's voice is through his songs," said Overton.
On Aug. 25, 2016, just after 4:30 a.m., the 21-year-old was shot and killed along the 800 block of East Madison Street in Philadelphia's Kensington section.
His mother says she was told Davis was robbed, but she's not convinced.
"How did my son get stuck up if he died with $24 and his house keys in his pocket? And he had no weapon on him," said Overton.
His mother says he was with his friends at the time of his death, but she adds they haven't been able to give police any leads.
"So ya'll have something to hide, but you're all supposed to be my son's friends," said Overton.
The City of Philadelphia is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

For Overton, she says she and her older son are having a tough time with their loss.
"It's hard for him to believe. He knows he's gone, but that was my baby boy, he didn't have any kids," said Overton. "I have nothing but memories."
