Third heat related death in Philadelphia in recent days

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Public Health Department says a man has died as a result of the heat, bringing the total of heat related deaths in recent days to three.

The man's death was announced Sunday. He was 59 years old and suffered from diabetes and congestive heart failure.

Officials on Saturday said the heat was a factor in the deaths of a 67-year-old woman in Brewerytown and an 82-year-old in Port Richmond.

Officials say both women had other medical conditions that contributed to their deaths.
