AccuWeather: Much-needed rain arrives soon

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Staying mild through Wednesday before a strong front brings measurable rain and wind at night.

WEDNESDAY: Running mild still, high of 61. Turning cloudy quickly with rain developing late evening and at night. Rain could be heavy at times with some 40mph wind gusts. Overall it looks like 1/2 to up to 1" of rain, especially north of the city.

THURSDAY: It's mostly cloudy and much cooler with a high of 50. We'lll still have a gusty breeze and a few lingering showers, especially at night when some wet flakes could hit the Poconos.

FRIDAY: Cloudy, breezy and unseasonably cool, high 46. A spotty shower can't be ruled out.

SATURDAY: Remaining cloudy and cool with a shower possible, high 50.

SUNDAY: Clouds and sun, high 52. Still breezy at times.

MONDAY: Partly sunny, not as windy. High 56.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, a shower possible. High 53.
