AccuWeather: Some snowflakes in the air Thursday in Philadelphia region
Some flurries and snow showers late Thursday. Then an unsettled holiday weekend.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- We have three shots for some very light precipitation before the dangerous cold next week.



THURSDAY: After some early sun it turns cloudy. We have a piece of energy bringing some flurries, and even some snow showers around late day and evening. Some spots, especially north and west, can pick up a dusting of snow. It's not as windy, but even colder. High 32.



FRIDAY: Temperatures rebound and it's more seasonable with mostly sunny skies, high 43.



SATURDAY: Cloudy and breezy with some light rain showers around, mostly in the late morning and middday hours. High 44.



SUNDAY: We'll be watching a storm nearby that can bring snow showers in the evening or at night. Perhaps a mix south of the city. Otherwise mostly cloudy with a high of 38.



MONDAY (MLK DAY OF SERVICE): Turning colder, winds pick up. High 27.



TUESDAY: Coldest air in two years with a high of only 19



WEDNESDAY: Plenty of sun, still cold, high 21.
