COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A powerful line of storms brought down trees and power lines and caused damage in several communities across the region early Saturday.

There is no official word if a tornado touched down in Pemberton Township, Burlington County.

An Action News viewer captured a picture of what appeared to be a funnel cloud not far from Fort Dix.

High winds brought down several utility poles on Trenton Road near Broadway in Brown Mills.

Action News is told a man spent three hours trapped in his pickup truck before utility crews were able to de-energize live electrical wires and firefighters could free him.

Action News was along Cuthbert Boulevard at Park Avenue in Collingswood, N.J.

Several trees were down and police had blocked off several areas with yellow caution tape.

Police say the storm came through in a matter of about 15 minutes. They expect it will take most of the weekend to clean things up.

At the corner of Ogden and Park avenues in Haddon Township, two large trees fell into the street, barely missing homes.

The fire department was on the scene checking for electrical hazards because the wires were still live.

Residents in Collingswood needing assistance with non-emergency situations were being told to call 856-854-7447.

Across the Delaware River in Pennsylvania, flash flooding was a problem for motorists.

In Montgomery County, Byberry and Pioneer roads in Upper Moreland had to be closed after flooding made them impassable.

And in Lower Moreland, a car got stuck trying to drive into a flooded intersection at Philmont and Red Lion roads.

The storms - the remnants of what once was Tropical Storm Cindy - rolled through the region around dawn, prompting tornado warnings from the National Weather Service for counties in New Jersey including Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer. But Severe Thunderstorm and Flash Flood Warnings followed close behind.

A number of power outages were reported across southern New Jersey and the five-county Philadelphia region as a result of the storm.
