Police say someone found the body just before 6 p.m. Wednesday on Darby Crescent Road and Wanamaker Avenue in Prospect Park.

Chopper 6 over the scene showed police were focusing on a piece of land surrounded by crime tape.
"We were in my house. I'm the house next to where the body was found," said George Foreaker, from Prospect Park.
George Foreaker described the moment his neighbor told him he found a body.
"The neighbor come to me. He said, 'You guys better move your cars out of there because there's going to be a lot of action here,'" said Foreaker, "I said, 'Why Tom?' He said, 'I just found a body.'"

Foreaker pointed to where he saw the body, in a wooded area next to the creek.
"We just looked at it, we didn't touch anything. But it was 20 yards from any water. So it didn't wash up," said Foreaker.
Norwood police are investigating as well as the Delaware County District Attorney's Office, which said the investigation is ongoing.
Residents said they are surprised a body was found in their neighborhood.
"It's quiet back here, and to hear something like that's going on is really a shocker," said Andy DiGrazio, from Prospect Park.
Some said they are taking precautions since not much information has been released by authorities.

"I hope it doesn't happen again," said Foreaker. "It would be scary if whoever put it there, was still there."
"Of course, I've battened down the hatches, make sure nobody's around, I don't know whatever's going on," said DiGrazio.
The Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed they did perform an autopsy on the body Thursday, but couldn't release any more information as the investigation is still ongoing.
No further details have been released at this time.
