Small earthquake hits Delaware weeks after 4.1 magnitude temblor

DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Another earthquake struck Delaware nearly two weeks after the biggest recorded quake in the state.

The US Geological Survey says the 1.2 magnitude quake struck outside Dover just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The location was not far from November's 4.1 earthquake.

The dramatic shaking motion of that quake was captured by a surveillance camera owned by WavLab Studios.

People from as far away as Washington and New York City reported that they felt the movement.

It was back in August 2011 when our area felt the impact of a 5.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia.
