Christa Andersen, of Trolley Square, was navigating the streets of Wilmington very carefully as several inches of snow fell throughout the state.

"A lot of people did not do their sidewalks from the last snow which is a shame. So now, it's icy and this is on top of the ice so I'm walking very carefully," she explained.
DelDOT crews were spread out across the state, especially in the northern communities.

Major roads like Naamans Road in Claymont were clear but it's easy to see the difference on secondary roads like Marsh Road in North Wilmington.
"Some of the roads are perfect and other roads are just untouched," said said Steve Schenkel, of Media, Pa.

On the major roads, DelDOT is asking for the public's help after a driver hit a snowplow earlier in the day.
"Please stay several car lengths back, don't try to pass them and let them do their job so they can get these roads clear as fast as possible," said C.R. McLeod, DelDOT director of community relations.
Kids enjoyed their snow day on Friday and got a chance to break out the sleds.
"We actually got these sleds for Christmas last year," said Rachael Russell.
