According to investigators, a male suspect wearing all black clothing and a mask attacked the victim with bear spray to disable him and then stole his wallet and cell phone.
After the attack, the victim was somehow able to stumble over to a nearby gym.
"He was falling down on the concrete in the video, eyes were all messed up, covered in yellow," recalled Sue Gallager Holton, who is the owner of Anytime Fitness. "They opened the door, they let him in, gave him water, sat down. He went in the shower and they took him out on a stretcher."
The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for the chemical irritant exposure as well as abrasions to his head, elbows and knees.
