Heavy smoke could be seen billowing from the one-story commercial building.
Fire crews say customers were inside the store when the fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. Everyone was able to get out without any injuries.
"I saw like yellow smoke, so I come and look and that's when I started taking videos and that's when like an explosion -- like a ball of fire started happening," said Kanner Maldonado of Frankford.
The fire reached two alarms before it was brought under control.
Based on the size of the store, crews doused the flames from the outside of the building. There was a risk of collapse because of the raging flames inside.
Action News spoke with an employee of the store who said she's thankful firefighters saved what they could.
"Real bad because a lot of people came there, you know, they did their shopping there," said Makeba Walden of Frankford.
